Feast Watson Proofseal 1L Oil Based Sealer Fast Drying Clear is a transparent, fast-drying penetrating sealer designed to lock in timber's tannin and oils, preventing discolouration.
This oil-based sealer is ideal for sealing naturally oily timbers such as Spotted Gum, Brush Box, and Tallowwood. It effectively reduces the tendency for lighter coloured timbers to darken after top coating. For optimal results, new timber should be sanded to a smooth surface, while previously coated timber must be sanded back to bare timber. Proofseal can be applied using a brush, roller, or spray, ensuring complete coverage of edges and end grain. A second coat may be necessary for porous timbers, with specific preparation steps for open grain timbers.
